Committee Description
The water industry is evolving constantly, and that evolution relies on innovative technologies. Leaders Innovation Forum for Technology (LIFT) is a program that can bring new technologies from research to practice quickly and efficiently. LIFT is a partnership between the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Water Environment and Reuse Foundation (WE&RF). IWEA is proud to be the second MA to become a LIFT affiliate in the United States. LIFT provides twelve focus areas with members who meet regularly to determine the industry demand and conduct scans of innovative technologies to meet those demands. Through regular meetings, webinars, and test bed tours, the goal of the IWEA LIFT committee is to facilitate the relationship between municipalities and innovative technologies, and to foster and strengthen utility - university partnerships.
